Windows That Work with Your Wallet

Window Replacement in Wichita, Kansas

These days, windows do more than simply bring light and airflow into a space; they even do more than provide curb appeal. Yes, they will reduce your monthly energy bills, make your home more climate-controlled, and increase the value of your home. But advances in window technology provide homeowners with ample benefits.

For example, when you live in Kansas, it can be easy to overlook reducing outdoor noise with new windows. Though you are likely not surrounded by honking car horns late at night, you may have a barking dog next door or a neighbor who loves to mow his lawn at 5 am on Saturdays. New windows can provide a renewed level of noise cancellation to keep you peacefully asleep, while wind gusts blow by.

You have more options than ever with a wide variety of features and window materials available to customize a new or replacement window to perfectly suit your needs.

The immediate cost savings far outweigh the short-term inconvenience. The sooner you replace your windows, the sooner you will begin enjoying their perks.

You’ll have a hard time finding a project that brings as many benefits and stretches your investment dollar further — than new windows installed by All States Home Improvement.

We Carry the Best Windows in The Biz

As the trusted dealer for top brands, we give you access to premium, custom products and guarantee flawless installation.

Each window we offer carries the NFRC label, the industry standard for energy efficiency. You can read more about the label and what it means for homeowners on our Reading the NFRC Label page.

Why Noise-Reducing Windows Are Important in The Midwest

Windows play a crucial role in mitigating intrusive sounds of howling winds and pounding rain of Kansas storms. The severe weather conditions can generate significant noise levels that may disrupt daily life and cause discomfort and lack of sleep. High-quality windows, equipped with features such as double or triple glazing and insulated frames can effectively block out the noise.

Invest in windows designed to reduce noise transmission and enjoy a more tranquil indoor experience. Have a sense of security and comfort even during the most turbulent weather events.

Greg & Melissa’s thoughts on their new windows.

A new bathroom by All States Home Improvement.

“After a spring hailstorm the town was full of roofing signs. I selected All States Home Improvement to replace my roof, mostly due to the age of the old roof. Tank provided me with all the details about the company history, financing, and what would take place during the roof replacement. The contract was made in November and then winter came through, but the first warm weather day, All States was ready to get the roofing job completed. I was pleased with the project and the cleanup afterward. I would recommend the company to be used in your upgrading home projects,”
– Kathy E.

Spring Cleaning: How to Properly Clean Windows

Everyone knows the basic way to clean a window. Grab a paper towel, and Windex, and you’re good to go. Wrong!

If you want that deep clean, streak-free window, we’re here to give you tips and tricks on how to get it done the right way.

Follow these tips to deep-clean your window correctly:

  • Start from the top of your window and work your way down so if dust and dirt fall, you will clean it up later during your process.
  • Begin with a hot damp towel to remove that first layer of dirt. Then, you’ll start over again with cleaning products. If you haven’t cleaned your windows in a while, there will likely be a dark dirt film. You want to clean that up first before starting any other cleaning methods.
  • When cleaning the glass, use any window cleaning product with a squeegee. The squeegee is a game changer to having clean windows. You’ll have your window streak free, drastically reducing the cleaning time. Make sure to wipe off the access at the bottom of the window, so nothing drips down. Watch a tutorial here.
  • If you can, remove the screen from your window to get to those hard-to-clean spots.
  • Your window tracks and seals get gross and are the perfect holding place for dust, bugs, and gunk. Take an all-purpose cleaner and a skinny brush to scrub and clean the windowsill – wipe excess with a towel or sponge. Watch this quick video on how to do it. If you see excessive dirt, your window was probably not installed correctly. All States Home Improvement has the most detailed installers for Wichita window replacement.
  • Fill a squeezable condiments bottle with water to wash away dirt easily.
  • A hand steamer is a good option and investment to easily and quickly clean all the little cracks and crevasses around your window.
  • When was the last time you washed your blinds? Take them off your window, cover them in dawn power wash, and soak them in a bathtub for 15 minutes. Rinse and repeat until squeaky clean!
  • This tip may be obvious but don’t forget to clean the outside of your window if you can reach it! If your window is unreachable, try to get a power washer to clean the outside of the window.

If you have to deep clean more than every few months, you need to have a window replacement company come look at the overall condition of your window. All States Home Improvement has free, no-obligation consultations and specializes in window replacements. All States also provides services for siding, roofing and baths, call (316) 444-1220 to learn more.

Instantly Upgrade the Look of Your Home In 2023 With New Window Replacement

“There’s a world out there. Open a window, and it’s there,” – Robin Williams.

What do health & new windows have in common?

Before we get into how new windows improve the look of your home – what about how new windows improve your health? When you think of becoming healthier, you mostly think of the typical goals of working out more and eating better. And given that it’s the new year, health is a major theme. But have you considered natural light as part of improving your health? Studies show that increasing access to natural light improves your mood and helps reset your circadian rhythm (the natural process regulating the sleep-wake cycle).

Windows create beautiful natural light in your home, help clean the air, make you feel connected to nature; the list of health benefits can go on! Now more than ever, new windows should be a priority for your home and health.

Upgrade the look of your home

Sometimes a little paint, new blinds and curtains could be enough to give your home a facelift. But consider the last time your home has gotten a real window upgrade. If it’s been more than 15 years, it’s definitely time for new ones. Window replacement is one of the most noticeable improvements (from the interior, exterior, and health-wise) you can make to your home. New windows that bring in lots of bright natural light can completely transform a space and give the illusion of your room being bigger than it actually is.

Save money in the long run

Windows are a fantastic investment in making your house look good while decreasing the cost of your energy bills. Energy-efficient windows reduce heat loss and improve the comfort of your home. The US Department of Energy estimates that approximately 30% of energy in the average home is lost due to inefficient windows and doors. Make your home more energy efficient, keep drafts out, and keep your home cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Vinyl siding for your Wichita, Kansas area home

Choose vinyl siding from All States Home Improvement and you can lower your monthly maintenance and raise the value of your home. Vinyl siding is durable, affordable, and energy-efficient, without sacrificing a vibrant appearance. It’s less likely to crack or rot over time. Once installed, vinyl siding will provide your home with a high strength protective layer.

Vinyl siding requires very little monthly maintenance. If dirt or debris begin to build upon its surface, all it takes is a hose and a damp cloth and your vinyl siding will look factory fresh once again. And unlike wood, which requires constant scraping and painting, vinyl siding features a blended on the color that will not fade or chip through the years. The same vibrant color that you see on the day of installation will be there for years to come.

When installing vinyl siding, precision is key. Any gaps or leaks and the siding won’t function at peak capacity. Here at All States Home Improvement, we’ve been installing vinyl siding on Wichita area homes since we began our work over 25 years ago. Each member of our installation crew has undergone countless hours of training and is deeply experienced in the proper installation of our vinyl siding. 5 Reasons to Upgrade to a Walk-in Shower

5 Reasons to Upgrade to a Walk-in Shower

You can’t watch a home renovation show without seeing a walk-in shower feature. They’re modern and add a custom touch to a bathroom, so it’s no surprise that they’re at the top of the renovation list for many homeowners.

The reasons to upgrade your master bath with an elegant walk-in shower are endless, but we’ve rounded up our top five benefits of these luxurious modern home additions. Whether you’re looking for better accessibility in your master bath or a more modern aesthetic in a small guest bath, you can’t go wrong with a custom walk-in shower from All States Home Improvement. Read on to learn more!

  1. Better Accessibility

Bathing is often the most relaxing part of our days. However, it is often less than rejuvenating for those with mobility issues if they are forced to bathe in a shower/tub combo. While many homes are equipped with traditional shower/bath combos because of their versatility, the top of the tub is typically nearly two feet off the ground, making them problematic for people with limited mobility. Difficulty maneuvering in and out of the tub, combined with wet surfaces, can make bathing extremely dangerous for this segment of the population.

The most common update for an accessible bathroom is converting a shower/tub combo to a walk-in shower. These showers are built to be easy to walk or roll into, so the chances for tripping are minimal. Therefore, if you or someone in your home is looking for a more accessible bathroom, a walk-in shower is a good place to start. Read this blog about converting your bathroom for better accessibility for more information on how to improve your bathroom’s accessibility features.

  1. Resale Value

When placed in the right room, a walk-in shower will increase the value of your home. They make smaller bathrooms look bigger and leave room for more features in a small guest bath (see more about that in reason five!). Keep in mind, however, that you may want to keep at least one bathtub in one bathroom in your home to keep resale value high for buyers with children, who will likely want at least one bath for bathing their kiddos.

  1. Appearance

Modern, functional, and versatile are three words that perfectly describe walk-in showers. No matter your design aesthetic, the team at All States Home Improvement will design a beautiful shower to fit your space. Your consultant will share a wide variety of colors and designs to fit your style from traditional, to elegant to farmhouse.  And don’t forget the accessories!  Whether you’re looking for a spa-like rainfall showerhead or something handheld, shelving, benches or even a shaving ledge, we have the expert know-how and experience to guide your decisions and match your unique preferences.

  1. Easier to Clean & Durable

All States bath products are made of non-porous acrylic panels for the most durable and easy to maintain option on the market. No tile or grout to clean or maintain, no mold or mildew and our shower panels have an antimicrobial surface that stops the growth of bacteria. Cleaning your custom walk-in shower will be much quicker and easier. No tile, grout or porous porcelain surfaces that hold in grime and bacteria. Additionally, because our walk-in shower consists of flat surfaces, with reinforced corners – there are fewer nooks and crannies to catch buildup, slashing your cleaning time.

  1. Conserve Space

Walk-in showers are built to fit the room, so you don’t have to work with standard size templates. Therefore, you can add a shower to a room that couldn’t hold a shower/tub combo. Another option is to replace a combo unit with a smaller walk-in shower to create space for a nice vanity area in your bathroom!  Completing your new walk-in shower with a frameless shower door or an elegant glass wall will make the room appear larger than it is, adding value to your home.
