Andale Siding Before & After

All States Home Improvement went out to Andale on a James Hardie Fiber Cement Siding project. These homeowners trusted the All States team for new siding and they couldn’t be happier with the results.

This home originally had pressed wood material for their siding, and it needed some major TLC.

Some issues All States Home Improvement found with their old siding:

(Make note of these issues and check if your siding is showing any of these signs to be replaced)

  • Swelling around the nails
  • Swelling on the bottom edges of the siding
  • It wasn’t holding paint very well
  • Decay

If you see where it’s starting to decay – that’s a major issue that needs to be addressed. Siding rots from the backside out. So, when you can visibly see it from the outside of your home the issue has been developing for a while before it was visible. People think it’s the start of the issue but it’s really the very end. It happens very rapidly, where the siding looks decent one year to looking terrible the next.

For this customer we did new house wrap and siding. Some key benefits to house wrap are that it keeps water and air from penetrating into the wood structure which causes damage – keeping your house more energy-efficient.

It allows your house to breath and prevents condensation from things like the dishwasher, washing machine, etc. from building up and causing damage. It allows vapor to escape but prevents moisture from coming in from the outside.

We use a James Hardie cement siding and tape to create an air and watertight seal. These products are extremely durable, one of things our customers love about siding from All States Home Improvement.
