Why Choose SoftLite Elements Windows

When selecting windows for your home, there are endless options to choose from with various features, design elements, and selling points. At All States Home Improvement, we install Elements windows by SoftLite. Due to their high standards for energy efficiency, air and water penetration, and durability, they are the highest-performing window in the industry. Read on to learn more about the many benefits of Elements windows.

Energy Efficiency

One of the most important features of your home’s windows is their ability to keep your energy bills down. Elements windows have gained top marks on industry-standard certifications, including ENERGY STAR and National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) Ratings. That means you can count on Elements windows to keep cool air in during the summer and heat in during the winter.

ENERGY STAR certification ensures that your windows have passed strict guidelines set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the US Department of Energy. Since 2014, SoftLite has been named an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year, and their windows are also on the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient Products list.

NFRC ratings help consumers compare energy-efficient products by providing a breakdown of key performance features. The four categories of the NFRC label are U-Factor, Solar Heat Gain Coefficient, Visible Transmittance, and Air Leakage. Elements windows outperform other windows by almost double in the NFRC thermal performance tests.

Air Infiltration

Elements windows carry the confidence of a Gold Label certification from the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA). This certification signifies that the windows have passed rigorous independent testing for air leakage, water penetration, wind and forced entry resistance, durability, and thermal window performance in an AAMA accredited test lab.

When it comes to air infiltration, SoftLite Elements windows perform 30 times better than the industry minimum set by AAMA. In this test, windows are subjected to 25 mph winds, and the amount of air leakage is measured. To receive the Gold Label certification, windows cannot allow more than 0.30 cubic feet per minute (CFM). When tested, Elements windows only allowed .01 CFM of air leakage per minute. To compare, other well-known window brands like Pella and Andersen allowed .23 CFM of air leakage per minute.

Diverse Product Selection

Some windows in your home are relatively straightforward and simple. However, to add a unique flair to your home, you need personalized options to suit your style. Elements windows offer a wide variety of window options to choose from to customize your selections. With more than 13 different shapes, bay and bow options, and decorative grids to add personality to your home, the possibilities are endless! There are also obscure glass options to offer privacy while still illuminating your room.

When it comes to colors and finishes, Elements window options are unparalleled. The five hardware finishes (White, Beige, Pontiac Gold, Brushed Nickel, and Oil-rubbed Bronze) offer the ability to match the aesthetic within your home. With six interior frame color options and eighteen exterior choices, you’re sure to find the perfect combination for your unique preferences!

Ultrasmart™ Weather-Stripping

Elements windows feature innovative weather-strips with antimicrobial biocide protection. This means they guard the window’s perimeter from airborne bacteria, pollen, mold, and mildew spores. They even prevent the growth of mold on the weather-strip material. Weather-stripping that isn’t treated with antimicrobial protection eventually allows moisture where microbes grow within the weather-stripping fibers, ultimately deteriorating its efficacy. If your or anyone in your home suffers from allergies, Ultrasmart weather-stripping will help keep aggravating allergens out!
